Rebecca Davis

Extension Educator, Family & Consumer Sciences

Rebecca Davis is an Extension Educator in Family and Consumer Science for the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension in Montgomery County. Building strong, healthy families through research-based programming has been the focus of Rebecca’s work with MCE since 1998.  She teaches classes to adult and youth audiences that include the relationship between diet, exercise and disease prevention; healthy meal planning and cooking techniques for reducing health risks, strength training for older adult populations, and how to begin and monitor a walking or other exercise program.


She has a M.S. Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Arizona.  Prior to working in Montgomery County, Rebecca was a youth development educator with the Frederick County 4-H program and also has worked as a hospital- based heath and wellness educator.

Susan K. Morris, AFC

Extension Educator, Family & Consumer Sciences

Susan K. Morris is an Extension Educator in Family and Consumer Sciences for the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension. A tenured University faculty member for 29 years, Mrs. Morris is primarily responsible for programming in personal and family financial management in Montgomery County. In July 2002, she was promoted to Principal Agent/Professor in the University of Maryland College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Maryland Cooperative Extension. Mrs. Morris served as Acting Assistant State Program Leader for Extension Family and Consumer Sciences from 2005-2007.

Mrs. Morris received a B.S. degree in Vocational Home Economics Education and an M.S. degree in Counseling and Student Personnel Services, both from Kansas State University.

She is an Accredited Financial Counselor with the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education. Prior to joining the University of Maryland, Mrs. Morris worked for the National 4-H Council in Chevy Chase and was a high school home economics teacher in her native Kansas.
